Details

At 1037 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Stone City to near Blairstown. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Cedar Rapids, Anamosa, Mechanicsville, Stanwood, Marion, Coralville,
North Liberty, Hiawatha, Mount Vernon, Robins, Lisbon, Fairfax,
Solon, Tiffin, Ely, Atkins, Walford, Springville, Palo, and
Shellsburg.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 225 and 237.
Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 32.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
