Details

At 1004 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 16 miles southwest of Maydelle to near
Forest, or extending from 25 miles west of Rusk to 21 miles south of
Rusk, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Rusk, Alto, Wells, Morrill, Forest and Maydelle.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
