Details

At 1256 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of Agate
Fossil Beds National Monument to near Box Butte Campground. Movement
was northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Chadron, Crawford, Whitney, Roberts Trailhead Campground, Box Butte
Campground, Whitney Lake, Soldier Creek Campground, Red Cloud
Campground, Box Butte Reservoir, Fort Robinson State Park, Chadron
Municipal Airport, Chadron State Park, Belmont, Box Butte Dam,
Toadstool Geological Park and Campground, Dawes County Fairgrounds,
and Chadron State Park Campground.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
