Details
At 1029 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Whitney Lake, or 15 miles west of Chadron, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Chadron, Whitney, Chadron Municipal Airport, Chadron State Park,
Whitney Lake, Red Cloud Campground, Dawes County Fairgrounds, and
Chadron State Park Campground.
