Details
At 512 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles north of Lake Tanglewood to near Canyon
to 6 miles northwest of Dawn. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Amarillo, Canyon, Lake Tanglewood, Mescalero Park, Buffalo Lake,
Dawn, Wayside, Umbarger, Palo Duro Canyon, and Timbercreek Canyon.
This includes Interstate 27 between mile markers 91 and 120.
