Details
At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of McCook to Culbertson. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Curtis, Moorefield, Stockville, Maywood, Quick, Bluegill Haven
Campground, Willow View Campground, Freedom, Red Willow Reservoir
State Recreation Area, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge.
This includes Highway 83 between mile markers 27 and 47.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
