Details

At 1142 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Montpelier to near
Fruitland to near Riverside. Movement was southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT…Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Muscatine, Aledo, Wapello, Columbus Junction, Burgess, Kalona, Lone
Tree, Andalusia, Riverside, Fruitland, Viola, Morning Sun,
Millersburg, Matherville, New Boston, Keithsburg, Grandview,
Reynolds, Conesville, and Eliza.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
