Details
At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Brule to 9 miles south of Lamar. Movement
was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Ogallala, Imperial, Grant, Brule, Madrid, Venango, Lamar, Enders,
Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area, Champion, Roscoe, Crete,
Chase, Center Dam Campground, Brandon, Megeath, Broganville, Wild
Horse Spring, Wanamaker State Wildfire Management Area, and Area A
Campground.
This includes the following highways…
Highway 61 between mile markers 27 and 95.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 109 and 139.
Highway 6 between mile markers 0 and 38.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
