Details
At 701 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 19 miles southeast of Fort Stockton to 33 miles
northwest of Sanderson to 18 miles southeast of Marathon. Movement
was northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Sierra Madera.
Portions of U.S. Highway 90, 285, and 385.
Instructions
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
