Details
At 740 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Marathon, or 27 miles southeast of Alpine, moving
north at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Alpine, Persimmon Gap, Marathon, Camp Mitre Peak, Alpine-Casparis
Municipal Airport, Paisano Pass, Santiago Peak, Elephant Mountain,
and Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area.
