Details

At 1023 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Elkville to near Trail Of Tears State
Park. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and torrential rainfall.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Cape Girardeau, Carbondale, Murphysboro, Du Quoin, Trail Of Tears
State Park, De Soto, Cobden, Elkville, Hurst, Ware, Cedar Lake Area,
Makanda, Dowell, Alto Pass, Vergennes, and St. Johns.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
