Details

At 837 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Lake Tanglewood to 6 miles northeast of Happy.
Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Amarillo, Canyon, Lake Tanglewood, Wayside, Washburn, Palo Duro
Canyon, and Timbercreek Canyon.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 27 between mile markers 91 and 107.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 77 and 90.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
the Panhandle of Texas.
