Details

At 1024 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near St. Marys to 7 miles southeast of Volland
to 3 miles southwest of Latimer. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Northwestern Topeka, Junction City, Wamego, Herington, Council Grove,
Rossville, Alma, Eskridge, St. Marys, Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn,
Enterprise, Maple Hill, White City, Alta Vista, Dwight, McFarland,
Harveyville, and Paxico.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 310 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 160 and 164.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
northeastern Kansas.
