Details

At 114 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles southwest of Westmoreland, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Manhattan, Wamego, Holton, Rossville, Westmoreland, Blaine, St.
Marys, Silver Lake, Onaga, Hoyt, St. George, Maple Hill, Mayetta,
McFarland, Paxico, Belvue, Emmett, Louisville, Denison, and
Circleville.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 323 and 353.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
