Special Weather Statement issued August 10 at 5:13PM MDT by NWS North Platte NE
Details
At 513 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles northeast of Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge, or 31
miles north of Oshkosh, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Hyannis, Ashby, Bingham, Dipping Vat Meadow, Dominick Lake, Finnegan
Lake, Swede Lake, Jerry Lake, Britton Lake, Kincaid Lake, Wild Horse
Flats, and Mother Lake.
This includes the following highways…
Highway 2 between mile markers 121 and 152.
Highway 61 between mile markers 148 and 166.
