Details

At 241 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Levant, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Thomas
and north central Logan Counties, including the following
locations… Mingo.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 49 and 53,
and between mile markers 66 and 71.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
