Details
At 626 PM MDT/726 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms 4 miles east of Bonny Reservoir, moving
northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Yuma
County in northeastern Colorado and Cheyenne Counties in northwestern
Kansas, including the following locations… Hale, Wheeler, and
Idalia.
This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 212 and 219.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
