Details
At 1101 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Morales-Sanchez, or near Zapata, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Zapata, Lopeno, Medina, Zapata High School, Zapata County Fire
Department, Zapata Middle School, Siesta Shores, Zapata County Public
Library, Morales-Sanchez, and Zapata County Airport.
This includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 766 and 788.
