…The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas…
Frio River At Tilden affecting Live Oak and McMullen Counties.
For the Frio River…including Tilden…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Frio River at Tilden.
* WHEN…From Sunday evening until further notice.
* IMPACTS…Impact…At 26.0 feet, Moderate flooding occurs. The flow
is to the slab elevation of the lowest businesses and homes in
Tilden. Numerous roads and low bridges flood and become very
dangerous to motorists. Hundreds of livestock are trapped and
potentially drowned in the flood plain, below Derby to the Choke
Canyon Reservoir.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 1.8 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.6 feet
Monday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
– Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.7
feet on 10/17/1984.

Instructions
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
