Southwestern Clinton County in northwestern Missouri…
Clay County in west central Missouri…
Platte County in west central Missouri…
* Until 930 PM CDT.
* At 823 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Camden Point to Platte City to near Weatherby
Lake, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Kansas City, Liberty, Gladstone, Lansing, Excelsior Springs,
Smithville, Kearney, Parkville, Platte City, Lawson, Weatherby
Lake, Claycomo, Kansas City Intl Arpt, Pleasant Valley, Lake
Waukomis, Trimble, Glenaire, Camden Point, Ferrelview, and Holt.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 13 and 33.
Interstate 29 between mile markers 5 and 28.
Interstate 435 between mile markers 21 and 51.
Instructions
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern
Kansas…and northwestern and west central Missouri.
