The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Meade County in west central South Dakota…
Southeastern Pennington County in west central South Dakota…

* Until 1100 PM MDT.

* At 1007 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
6 miles northwest of Elm Springs to 10 miles northeast of Scenic,
or along a line from 37 miles northeast of Rapid City to 40 miles
east of Rapid City, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Wall, Wasta, Owanka, Elm Springs, Wicksville and Curlew Lake.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 84
and 116.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
