Special Weather Statement issued October 1 at 8:10PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX

Details

At 810 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from over St. Paul to 7 miles northeast of
Annaville, or extending from 7 miles north of Sinton to 8 miles north
of Corpus Christi International Airport, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Corpus Christi, Portland, Rockport, Sinton, Port Aransas, Taft,
Woodsboro, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Odem, Gregory, St. Paul,
Ingleside On The Bay, Bayside, Bonnie View, Corpus Christi North
Beach, Palm Harbor, Papalote, Copano Village and Annaville.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 37 between mile markers 6 and 13. US Highway 181 between
mile markers 608 and 646. US Highway 77 between mile markers 626 and
656.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
