…The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Flood Warning
for the following river in Kansas…

Republican River at Clay Center affecting Clay County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Republican River at Clay Center.

* WHEN…From Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from
U.S. Highway 24 to Milford Lake. At 17.0 feet, Flooding occurs
between 16th, 17th, and 18th Roads and between Limestone and Osage
Roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 16.4 feet Friday morning. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
