…The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Flood Warning
for the following river in Kansas…

Little Blue River near Barnes affecting Marshall and Washington
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Little Blue River near Barnes.

* WHEN…From Thursday morning to late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from
15th Road and Zenith Road in Washington County to Waterville in
Marshall County. At 17.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of
Barnes, on the west side of Highway 148 floods north of the river.
At 19.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of Barnes, south of the
river and east of Highway 148 floods. At 21.0 feet, Minor flooding
of farm fields along the Little Blue River…south of the Sunflower
Road Bridge in Marshall county.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tomorrow morning to a crest of 19.9 feet early Friday afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
