Details

At 347 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles north of Hyannis, or 39 miles west of Mullen, moving south at
20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Hyannis, Ashby, Dominick Lake, and Mother Lake.

This includes the following highways…
Highway 2 between mile markers 135 and 151.
Highway 61 between mile markers 152 and 172.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
north central and west central Nebraska.
