Details

At 456 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Denison to Bowie. Movement was south at
30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
McKinney, Frisco, Denton, Sherman, Corinth, Gainesville, Sanger,
Decatur, Bridgeport, Bowie, Whitesboro, Nocona, Denison, Prosper,
Anna, Celina, Melissa, Krum, Pilot Point, and Van Alstyne.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 35 between mile markers 468 and 503.
Interstate 35W between mile markers 79 and 85.
Interstate 35E between mile markers 460 and 466.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
north central Texas.
