Details

At 1219 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
La Union, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
West El Paso, Santa Teresa, Anthony, Sunland Park, Anthony Gap,
Canutillo, Westway, Vinton, La Union, Union Pacific Intermodal
Terminal, and Franklin Mountains State Park.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 163 and 164.
Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 1 and 15.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
