Details

At 225 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northeast of Stuart, or 13 miles west of Adel, moving east at
50 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and heavy rainfall of one to two
inches.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Ponding of water on roadways, low
visibilities, and rises in small streams and creeks.

Locations impacted include…
West Des Moines, Urbandale, Clive, Waukee, Grimes, Adel, Stuart,
Dallas Center, Earlham, Panora, De Soto, Van Meter, Lake Panorama,
Redfield, Dexter, Diamondhead Lake, Minburn, Menlo, Linden, and
Badger Creek State Park.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 87 and 119.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
