The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
North central Wilson County in southeastern Kansas…
Woodson County in southeastern Kansas…
West central Allen County in southeastern Kansas…

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 1125 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Yates
Center, moving southeast at 25 mph. This warning replaces the
previous Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

HAZARD…Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters. At 1118 PM, quarter size hail
was reported 6 miles northwest of Yates Center.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Humboldt, Yates Center, Buffalo, Iola Airport, Rose, and Piqua.
