…The National Weather Service in Tulsa OK has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Oklahoma…

Verdigris River near Lenapah affecting Nowata County.

Spring River near Quapaw affecting Ottawa County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Verdigris River near Lenapah.

* WHEN…From Friday morning to early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 34.0 feet, serious agricultural flooding occurs
between the Kansas border and headwaters of Lake Oologah. State
Highway 10 is impassable at a point 5 miles east of Lenapah.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 34.7 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late Sunday evening. This
forecast is based on the next 24 hours of forecast rainfall,
and interests along the river should closely monitor updates
to this warning.
– Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
